O.K… so i haven’t put pen to paper in a while… actually fingers to computer keyboard… but you get the point. And to refresh people’s memories, and mine as well, I try to write about and explain, if you will, what the fortunes in Fortune Cookies are trying to tell us. So I’ve had this one hanging around for awhile and noticed it this morning and said ‘Why the hell not? ‘ So here we go again… let me start Blogging again. ( That and the fact that I’m paying to have this site so I may as well use it) Anywho… It’s Better to be the Hammer than the Anvil… Get them before the get you, right? There you go… see you next week! Hope this was helpful! Of course, I’m being sarcastic here. That’s not what this means at all. But I bet you know a lot of people who may live by that sort of thinking. I know I sure do. Maybe they have been hardened by circumstances in their lives and probably developed that “Get them first” philosophy because of that fact. It’s not good to let others walk all over you and I totally buy into that. But there is really know need to be , excuse the phrases, a prick or a bitch ( which ever applies) towards everyone and every situation you encounter. There are ways of standing your ground or sticking to your guns without being totally nasty and obnoxious towards others. We, especially here in the USA, have become much too tolerate and submissive to the wants of others, be it culturally, religiously, or socially. What am saying is that we bend over for a small majority of people that bitch and moan about their wants and entitlements. WOW, that’s way off subject here. But I write’em as I think about’em. ( Guess I just gave up my political views) Back to the Blog. ANVIL vs. HAMMER. The anvil takes the brunt of the hit. And many times we are the anvil, metaphorically speaking. We, me included, need to be a little tougher at times and in the right way. Not by being a nasty, obnoxious, whiny person but by believing and living by certain standards of right and wrong. Sometimes we need to turn the other cheek but not when it really matters. We often give in to others because we don’t want to a) hurt their feelings b) get into an argument, c) get into a fight (physically), d) all of the above. So we tend to back down cause we think we are being polite. Sometimes ( a lot of the time) we need to stick to our guns because ‘Hey… our views or thinking or rights aren’t any less important than the next person. ‘ Right? Of course I’m right. This is my Blog! Anyway to conclude this mess I just wrote does the Hammer have the right to impose his will on others… of course not. But there are times when we need to stand up for and let others know that our being does matter.
Which are you?

Did you ever hear someone say, “We grew up the hard way” or “We learned the hard way” or “I went to the school of Hard Knocks”? Don’t you just hate those sayings? Used to drive me crazy. Especially when our parents used to say stuff like that. But think about it. When you were young(er), and a tough situation would arise, whatever it was, you dealt with it, and put it behind you and moved on. Now, as adults, we have this mindset that everything is going to be and should be easy and fall the way we want them. But it doesn’t. As a matter of fact, they seem to be greater problems of greater magnitude. We have family and financial obligations to answer to. And the “problems” seem to be monumentious, right? And to some extent, they are. Some are life and death. But most aren’t. Everyone, no matter who they are, no matter what walk of life they come from, are going to have problems, struggles… adversities in their lives. It really is a given. It’s how we handle and face them that makes all the difference in the world. You have a choice… kind of a fight or flight scenario if you will. Maybe even a reaction out of necessity. After all necessity is the mother of invention. Many great things have come to us through adversity. There was a problem that needed to be solved. If you approach it the right way, adversity can be an ally to you, if you let it. Sometimes we think ‘What possible good can come from this mess’? Maybe it is as simple as ‘I won’t do that again’!!! And there we have learned something. Maybe if we take an approach of “Ok… here is a problem. What can I do about it”? , instead of flipping out about it, we may just get some positive results and maybe soon, less bad will come our way. We tend to attract what we are focused on. So focus elsewhere!!!Right? Of course I am right. This is my blog. You wanna be right, get your own blog! Just kiddin’. So don’t let adversity rule your every breathe. Most of them are really not worth it and the ones that are, or at least seem to be major, take it in stride and learn and grow from it.

Imagine that you have a vested interest in NetFlix. There are roughly 26 million subscribers. And Imagine that you make a penny every time someone goes on their computer, tablet or smart phone and rents a movie. Now Imagine that on a given day 1 million movies are rented. ( That’s $10,000 if you do the math ) Let’s be conservation. Imagine if that is in one month. Not a bad month’s pay, right?
Now imagine this…
Imagine a few hundred if not a few thousand people go on their computer, tablet, or smart phone and for around a dollar, creates a real paper greeting card (birthday, anniversary, thank you, etc.) delivered by the post office, on a given day. But instead of earning a penny on each, you make .05-.30 cents on each one. Imagine! Now that’s not bad either. Maybe sounds like that is down the road sometime.
Well it is. In about a month from now!!!
Now imagine this…
You are able to take advantage of something like this. Well you can!!!
Sound unrealistic. Well it’s not!!! Great things never come from being realistic. The Revolution has started and there is plenty of room.

So, I haven’t written anything in a few weeks and thought I’d do so today, which just happens to be my birthday. Yeah, yeah, yeah… thanks for the kind notes and all. I guess when you think about it, it really is a big deal. And something positive in a person’s life. One could say, ‘Hey… I made it this far!’ or ‘The heck with everything today, it’s MY day!’ You get the idea. But a lot of the time, we get caught up in all that is going on around us… and a lot of the goings on around us are not good things. I don’t mean in our personal lives ( although that can be the case) but in our surroundings or society in general. You just have to turn on the TV, or sit with co-workers, or in any public place and listen to what people our talking about. It mostly is negative and bad. So, what are we supposed to do about it? Can we change what people are saying, or watching, or hearing? Or what is going on around us? Do we just ignore the happenings in our daily lives? Of course not. Ignorance is not Bliss. But we don’t need to dwell on the issues. We don’t need to repeat the stories over and over and over to where that’s all we talk or think about.
I think he forgot ‘Speak no Evil‘
I think Confucius forgot ‘Speak no evil’. ( I heard that somewhere before). Have you ever been around someone that all you hear out of their mouths is how bad everything is? You can just feel how it brings the surroundings down. Everyone starts feeling bad, or pains in places in the bodies, or just generally a bad attitude. But it’s so easy to get caught up in and everyone tries to out do each other with a more terrible story. Bad things are gonna happen to people or in the world… we know that, we just don’t have to dwell on them and make them part of our life. Start spreading some good stuff. It’s not that difficult. Genuinely compliment someone. Hey that’s a nice shirt you are wearing… I like those shoes you have on … You look sharp today… That was a great job you did! See it really is not that hard to ‘SPEAK NO EVIL’!!!
How about start with to you!!!
Cash works, too!!!
